Sharon Ethel Bogart

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Koski; father, John Koski; son, John Cramer; daughter, Sandra Cramer; son-in-law, John Aaron; and granddaughter, Jennifer Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Loran “Red” Bogart; children, Teresa Thomas, Fritzi Cramer, Terri “Angel” Aaron, and Brenda Lowerre; siblings, Sonja Tweed and her husband Vern, Sandy Cunningham and her husband Glen; grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Ariana Maniaci, Alyssa Cramer, Keith Lowerre Jr., Thomas Lowerre, Matthew Lowerre, Allison Aaron, Alaina Aaron, Ashlyn Aaron; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was born on June 23, 1940, in San Diego, CA, to John and Gertrude Koski. She was an accomplished athlete in school, excelling in basketball and target shooting. She married Loran Bogart, a U.S. Navy Chief, in 1971, and they moved to Jacksonville, FL. Over the next year, the couple welcomed a daughter, Angel, into their blended family, which grew to include six children.

Sharon was a hardworking individual who held various jobs, including working on an egg ranch, in restaurants, and in convenience stores. She later went back to school and became a bank teller. As a lead teller, she handled foreign currency and enjoyed interacting with regular customers for over 20 years at Barnett Bank. She retired at the age of 59 after several bank mergers.

In 2003, Sharon moved to Tampa, FL, to assist her youngest daughter, Angel, with raising her family. She was a caring individual who loved taking care of babies and spending time with family.

Sharon was an avid bowler for many years and enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, sudoku, knitting, and her biggest hobby, collecting dolls. While she was always a little girl at heart, she was always ready for an adventure and cherished good times with friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held privately for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Heart Association.
