Steven Saverio Salario, Steve, passed away Friday, May 26, in Tampa, Florida at the age of 65. Steve was survived by his wife of 35 years Mary, daughter Katie, son-in-law Kevin, and grandson Sam. Sisters Teresa, Maria, Anita, Lucia; brother Louie. Adored nephew Frankie. Uncle Reggie; cousins Paul, Francis, David & Paul Kenneth. And so many more beloved family and friends.
He was born in Tampa, Florida to Lou & Lucy Salario. Steve attended Christ the King and Tampa Catholic High School. After high school he began working at the family business, OK Leather Company. Steve loved working with his father and Uncle Joe. Over the years Steve used his experience to travel the world sourcing products and creating a successful footwear business, Steven Salario Sandals.
Steve was a lifelong Tampa native who loved Ybor City and his Italian heritage. He loved cooking for his friends and family and hosting holiday parties. Steve would want to be remembered for his fabulous meals, love of life and full personality.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on August 26th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Commodores Cove Clubhouse (5020 Bayshore Blvd. Tampa).
