

Suzanne Hennessy Konzelmann, 84, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Monday, November 22nd, 2021. She was born on January 11th, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Robert Emmett and Agnes Lindle Hennessy.
Suzanne loved music and at the age of 16 attended the Juilliard School of Music in New York City, studying under Rosalyn Tureck to become a concert pianist. She was honored to.perform the Warsaw Concerto by Richard Addinsell on the piano with the Sacred Heart Academy/Griffin High School Concert Band in Springfield, Illinois, while her two eldest daughters, Suzanne and Kathleen, were members. She died on the Feast Day of Saint Cecilia, the Patron Saint of music and musicians.
Suzanne earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from Trinity University Washington, D.C. in 1958, and became a first grade teacher before motherhood. Her lifelong career and greatest accomplishment became raising her seven children.
Suzanne’s love of travel began on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem with her brother, Daniel, and his family. She frequently visited her eldest daughter Suzanne in England, and visited her other children throughout the USA. Perhaps her most memorable trip was a back-packing adventure through Europe with her youngest son, John where they visited 11 countries and 32 cities in 31 days.
Suzanne also loved visiting her youngest daughter, Aggie (Agnes), in Breese, Illinois. She lived with her son, Daniel, in Fort Worth, Texas, and later in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She also lived with her daughter, Kathleen, in Chesapeake, Virginia, and later in Tampa, Florida.
Suzanne was an avid cross stitcher and left her loved ones many beautiful works of art which will be treasured forever. Religious and Disney creations were among her favorite patterns.
Suzanne’s Roman Catholic Faith was centrally important in her life. She was a pillar of strength and a prayer warrior who was a source of inspiration for all who knew her. Suzanne loved attending the traditional Tridentine Latin Mass at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Jouvenal Konzelmann, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and she is survived by her three daughters and other three sons: Suzanne Jahn Konzelmann of Ely, Cambridgeshire, in the UK; Kathleen Konzelmann Toth of Tampa, Florida; Agnes Konzelmann Becker of Breese, Illinois; John Nevins Konzelmann of Tampa, Florida; Henry Joseph Konzelmann and Robert Hennessy Konzelmann. She leaves behind many beloved grandchildren.
Visitation, with a Rosary Service, will take place from 6 to 8pm on Friday, November 26th, 2021 at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Florida, 33614. The funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, November 27th, 2021, from 10 to 11am, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 2404 East Stuart Street, Tampa, Florida 33605. This will be immediately followed by a committal service at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4202 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610.
