

Memorial services for Anne Elizabeth Mundell Emery, age 65, a longtime resident of Temple passed away Tuesday, November 7th, at Scott and White Medical Center in Temple. Anne was born May 10, 1952 in Sacramento, CA. to Roy E. Mundell and Patricia Booth Mundell. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10th at 12:00 pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Danny Wayne Burton and her great nephew Austin Lee Kelley. She graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1970. She attended Angelo State University and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Tech University. She worked as a Civil Servant at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Mather Air Force Base, Scott Air Force Base, and Bergstrom Air Force Base. She was in property management in Austin, Harker Heights, Temple and Belton. Most recently she was employed at the Ronald McDonald House of Temple. Anne is survived by her sister Karol Halfmann and brother-in-law Dan, brother Gray Mundell, and brother Clifton Burton and sister-in-law Connie. Her nieces and nephews, Robin Tanksley and husband Derek, Jennifer Green and husband Aaron, Sara Mundell, Lacey Irby and husband Oscar, Zachary Burton and Steeley Mundell. Three great nephews, Kyle Tanksley, Klay Tanksley and Ty Green. She will be missed by her friend and companion Jimmy Hickman. Anne enjoyed spending time with her family especially meeting for lunch or dinner, going to the movies, watching Aggie football, and spending time in her backyard. She had a strong love for her pets. The family is so very grateful for the extraordinary care given to our beloved Anne by the Scott and White CTICU and STICU physicians, surgeons, nurses and specialists. Should family and friends desire, memorial gifts may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Temple or the American Diabetes Association.
