Audrey Butler

Audrey Chaffin Butler, 86, of Heidenheimer died Tuesday April 22, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Loudin officiating. Burial will follow at the Lawler Cemetery near Florence, Texas. Mrs. Butler was born August 16, 1921 in Columbus, Mississippi to Brantlet Leo and Verna Pittman Chaffin. She married Hall Butler August 31, 1947 in Venice, California. She was a resident of Long Beach, California for 54 years before moving to Heidenheimer one year ago. She was a member of Truett Memorial Baptist Church in Long Beach and currently was a member of Taylor's Valley Baptist Church in Temple. She had worked for McDonald-Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach. Survivors include her husband Hall Butler of Heidenheimer; one daughter, Jane Lawler of Heidenheimer; one son, James Hall Butler of Longmont, Colorado; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
