Bennett Lewis Gatlin

A visitation will take place on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 3:00pm until the time of service at 5:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504.

Before Bennett was born he was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome(HLHS) and he would need multiple surgeries right after being born. He went through 2 surgeries, the first within a few days of being born and the second in response to an emergency weeks later. On February 18th Bennett gently passed in his parents arms to go be with Jesus.

Bennett is survived by his parents Brandon and Dana Gatlin of Temple, a brother Haden Zacharias of Temple, grandparents, Robert and Kathy Lewis of Madisonville, Texas, Toby and Christi Pendley of Round Rock, Texas, great-grandparents, Jimmy and Joan Anderson of Madisonville, Texas, Vern and Ann Peters of Abilene, Texas, Doris and W.E. Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, aunts and uncles, Dane and Jessica Lewis of Normangee, Texas, Brian and Kandi Hampton of Hutto, Texas, and Brett and Allyssa of Burnet, Texas, and 7 cousins, Gavin, Naythan, Kaleb, Brooke, Abigail, Cheyenne, and Brantley.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Larry Gatlin.
