Bobby Allen Poole, Sr., age 80, of Salado died Friday, July 13, 2007 in a local hospital. Services and burial will be held at a later date. Mr. Poole was born July 8, 1927 in Butner, Oklahoma to Albert and Walsey Lou Selby Poole. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during World War II. He married Barbara Louise Gilbert in 1946. She preceded him in death in July, 1987. He was a longtime resident of Houston and had lived in Salado for the past eight months. He was employed as a Sales Engineer in the oil field equipment business for many years. Survivors include one daughter, Catherine L. Walker and husband, Charls of Payson, Arizona, one son, Allen Poole and wife, Linda of Salado, five grandchildren, Kim Freeburg and husband, Tony, Megan Walker, Matthew Walker and wife, Rose, Dinah Walker all of Payson, Arizona and Brooke Walker of Chandler, Arizona and nine great-grandchildren, Taylor, Lane, Caylinn, Wesley, Autumn, Sierra, River, Monet and Holden. Also surviving is one sister, Jean Good of Seminole, Oklahoma.
