Bobby Wood, 62, of Bowie, Texas, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 in a Temple hospital. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Rev. Brent Boatwright officiating. Mr. Wood was born October 8, 1945 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Ivan Clyde and Iona McKay Wood. He graduated from Mexia High School and received his bachelor's degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1922 in Gainesville, Texas. He was a Baptist. Survivors include one brother, Jerold Wood of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one sister Kay Poston of Plano, Texas; Sister-in-law, Shirley Wood of Denton, Texas; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Harold Wood. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1311 N. New Road, Waco, Texas 76710.
