

Funeral Services for Brandon Ellis Lockabey, 35 of Temple, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Joe Woodard officiating.Brandon Ellis Lockabey left his earthly life surrounded by his family and close friends on the morning of September 26, 2016.He was born on a beautiful afternoon on June 15, 1981 to James and Pamela Eaks Lockabey.Brandon attended Cater Elementary, Bonham Middle School and graduated from Temple High School in 1999.Brandon never did anything he was not good at. Like his father he had a love for sports and loved the Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He played basketball, football and baseball. He loved baseball and we all thought that how good he was it would be his calling until his parents took him to Band Try out night at Bonham. This is where he picked up a pair of drum sticks for the first time and we realized he had an awesome talent. Brandon went on to play in the Bonham Middle School and Temple High School bands. In high school he was also part of the Jazz and Highlighters Bands. In his Jr. and Sr. year he served as drum captain and he was co-author of the drum cadence that is still currently played on Friday nights by the Temple High School Wildcat Band.After graduation he was lucky enough to be able to tour the East Coast of the United States with one of his very first bands. He was a drummer for three local bands during his career Binge, Kurb Check and Blackwater. Brandon “Dr. B” as he was known was named one of the best Rock and Roll Dummers in Central Texas. Music and playing the drums was his life, his love, his passion it was his heart.Brandon was a electrician for ADT Securities at the time of his passing.He is proceeded in death by his loving Grandparents Joe E Lockabey and Betty Shumake Lockabey, Harold A. and LaVerne Eaks.Survivors include his parents James and Pamela Lockabey of Temple, one sister Heather Lockabey White and husband Thomas White, two nieces Haily and KyLeigh White all of Temple plus many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
