Candice Lynn Wagner

Candice L. Wagner, age 42 of Troy, died Sunday, December 2, 2012. Services will be held from 6-8:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2012 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Candice was born on May 15, 1970 in Rapid City, SD to Wayne Nighbert, Sr. and Sandra Galles Nighbert. She graduated from Frankfurt American High School in Frankfurt, Germany in 1988. Candice married James Wagner on April 4, 1997 in Temple. She was a veterinary technician in Minnesota and Belton. Candice worked for Scott and White Hospital as unit manager from 1995 thru 2005 and then as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for the next five years. She loved horses and thoroughly going to beauty pageants with her daughter, Cassandra. Candice was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, James Wagner of Troy; a daughter, Cassandra R. Wagner of Troy; three brothers, Wayne Nighbert, Jr. of Ft. Edward, NY, Shawn Nighbert of Reston, VA and Chad Nighbert of Savannah, GA; her parents, Sandra and Wayne Nighbert, Sr. of Leavenworth, KS; and grandparents, Edward and Pauline Galles of Custer, SD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund that has been established at Extraco Bank in Candice Wagner's name for the benefit of her daughter, Cassandra.
