Carrell Williams, age 84 of Temple, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Meadow Oaks Baptist Church with Rev. Lillian Hinds officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Wednesday before the service. Mr. Williams was born on December 26, 1926 in Memphis, Texas to the late Ernest Williams and Alice Robinson Williams. He married Joy Hook on February 17, 1950 in Temple and Mrs. Williams preceded him in death on September 29, 2008. Mr. Williams worked as a surveyor for Turley and Williams in Temple, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Meadow Oaks Baptist Church. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and by one sister. Survivors include a son, Todd Williams of Amarillo; a brother, Ben Williams of Tyler and three grandchildren. Memorials may be made in Mr. Williams' name to Meadow Oaks Baptist Church, 3001 Meadow Oaks Drive, Temple, Texas 76502 or to the charity of your choice.
