

Funeral services for Charlotte Kilgore Procter, 74, of Temple will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. David Procter officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Charlotte passed away peacefully Wednesday at her home surrounded by her family. Charlotte was born the third of five children, September 15, 1942, in Temple. She graduated from Bruceville-Eddy High School in 1960. She moved to Temple in 1965 and married Harold A. Procter September 2, 1968. She worked at Scott & White Memorial Hospital for 37 years. She began as a messenger and worked in various Business Office positions including Cashiers, Credit & Collections and Patient Relations. She was a Methodist and member of the American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary, Children's Miracle Network Telethon, former Aggie MOM, full time wife, mother and most importantly Mimi. Those fortunate to have known Charlotte knew a kind , gentle, caring, giving and truly selfless human being. She spent her life always doing for others and living by the Golden Rule of "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." She always had a smile on her face and could light up any room with her laugh. Charlotte is proceeded in death by her mother, Frances Kilgore, one sister, Elizabeth Lightfoot, one brother and sister in law, Michael Wayne and Cathy Kilgore and one brother in law Douglas Wayne Duty. Survivors include her husband Harold A. Procter of Temple; two daughters Velvet Goonan of Temple and Dr. Barbara Procter-Hilliard and husband Ken Hilliard of Morgans Point; one brother and sister in law Curtis and Darlene Kilgore of Hewitt; one sister Linda Kay Duty of Louisiana; one sister and brother in law Peggy and Cecil Smith of Belton; one brother in law Joe Lightfoot of Rosebud; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
