Dan J. Conn

Dan J. Conn, age 83, of Temple, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at a local care center. He was born on September 13, 1932 in Roaring Springs, Texas the son of Alvin and Annie Conn. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 3:00PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church 2109 West Avenue H Temple, TX 76504. Dan was a former pilot, General Manager, and Vice President for Rich Air Company and then went on to work for Raytheon before his retirement in 1999. He was a member and former Elder at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple, he was active in large print activity for Lutheran Braille workers, was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a member of the QB Pilots Association. Dan is survived by his wife Tommye Conn of Temple, children; Kevin (Edna) Conn and Joe (Bobbie) Conn both of Odessa, Jill (Steve) Simonsen of Montgomery, and a daughter-in-law Becky Conn of Santa Fe, TX., grandchildren; Spencer (Tamara) Conn, Danny Conn, and Bethany (Andy) Wilabay all of Odessa, C.J. Conn of Corpus Christi, Hunter (Mary) Simonsen of Spring, Tyler Simonsen, Madeline Simonsen, and Connor Simonsen all of Montgomery, and Stephanie and Jeremy Conn of Santa Fe, TX, and 5 great-granddaughters; Aleah, Brianna, Brynlee, Olivia, and Emmy. He is also survived by a sister Margie Webb of Hawkins, TX . He was preceded in death by sons Charlie and Cary Conn and step son Neil Steddum.
