David L. Merrill

David L. Merrill, age 67, of Morgan’s Point formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at home. He was born on July 21, 1950 in Preston, Idaho the son of Wayne W. and Reva Mae Merrill. Visitation will take place on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504 and on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints 3909 Ermine Trail Temple, Texas 76504. David attended Stevens-Henager College in West Haven, Utah and was a bus driver for 34 years for Salt Lake City and Utah Transit Authority. He is survived by his son Ernie (Amy) Merrill of Draper, Utah, daughters, Chrystal (Kevin Abbott) Barron of Morgan’s Point Resort, Texas, Stephanie (Christian) Matthews of Kaysville, Utah, and Anna (Rafael) Fajardo of Henderson, Texas, grandchildren; Colton, Audreohna, Kayshia, Skylar, Madison, Davis, Grace, Karlee, Hanna, Emma, Valentin, and Anabel, and great-grandchildren, Donte and Chayton. He is also survived by a brother Richard Merrill of Salt Lake City, Utah, a sister MaryAnn Bakke of Orem, Utah, niece Emily Halcrow and nephew Christopher Bakke.
