Dean McGuire Killough

Dean McGuire Killough, age 89 of Temple, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, May 4 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Milne officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Killough was born December 1, 1925 in Rogers to R. M. (Buck) and Daisy Henderson Phillips. She married William Lee (Buck) McGuire July 24, 1943. He died July 21, 1993. She married Leonard Killough March 27, 1999. He died March 26, 2010. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Scott & White Hospital for many years. She enjoyed playing Bridge. Survivors include three sons, Billy Ray McGuire and wife, Candy of Belton, Gary McGuire of Temple and Phil McGuire of Austin, four grandchildren, Ron McGuire and wife, Christy of Belton, Pat McGuire and wife, Cammy of Belton, Shelley Pausewang of Temple and Carla Morris and husband, Brad of Round Rock and six great-grandchildren, Kelli, Collin, Susan, Christi, Mikaela and Will. Also surviving is one brother, Grady Lynn Phillips and wife, Amalee of Tyler. Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Jimmy Carden, Kenneth McGuire, Eric Thiemann, Joe Mack Connell, H. A. (Butch) Henderson and Granvil Treece. Honorary pallbearer is Eddie Mainord.
