

Diane Lynette Glasscock, 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Temple, Texas. Born on January 6, 1946, in Lafayette, Indiana, she was the daughter of Clarence and Harriet (Baer) Butler. Diane was raised in Delphos, Ohio, and later in Smithers, West Virginia, before settling in Temple in 1965, the place she would call home for the remainder of her life.
On December 15, 1997, Diane married the love of her life, Jerry W. Glasscock, in Las Vegas. Jerry survives her in Temple, along with the large and loving family that was the center of her world.
Diane was a member of the Temple American Legion Auxiliary and attended the Salvation Army Church in Temple. She enjoyed crafting—especially cross-stitch—and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry W. Glasscock of Temple; daughters Tamara L. Boswell of Temple and Jeanine Russell and husband Chris of Imperial, Missouri; and sons Jerry D. Glasscock (Brooke Hoopert) of Troy, Texas, Nathan Glasscock and wife Andrea of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, Michael Glasscock and wife Melanie of Ferndale, Washington, Martin Kneeland and wife Brit-Simone of Lago Vista, Texas, and Michael Martz and wife Becky of Van Wert, Ohio. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond Butler of Defiance, Missouri.
Diane leaves behind many beloved grandchildren: Amy Box and husband Heath; Kimberly Oliver and husband Tommy; Jaime Lynch and wife Kayla; Ethan Glasscock and wife Mikalyn, Kelsey Glasscock, Seth Glasscock; Libby Glasscock and husband Honor; Charlotte Glasscock, Mitchel Glasscock, Micah Glasscock, Skylar Glasscock and Adriana Glasscock. Her great-grandchildren include Kaela, Heather, Zach, Chase, William, Alexandria, Dixie, Katlin, Trenton, Wesley, Wyatt, and David. She is also lovingly remembered by her seven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jeanine Sterling; her brothers, David Butler and Clarence “Buck” Butler Jr.; and her stepfather, Charles McClung.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
Funeral services will take place the following day, Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m at the funeral home, followed by burial at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
