Diorah "Dee" Mae Owens

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 30th, 2024 at 11:00am at Oak Hill Cemetery near McDade, Texas.

Mrs. Owens was born on April 5, 1934 in Bastrop, Texas the daughter of Arthur Otto and Melissa Jane (Phillips) Linder. She attended school in Galveston. On April 27, 1950 she married John William Owens. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Temple, was employed by Chevron Oil Company in Houston for 26 years. Upon retirement they moved to Sunrise Beach and was employed by Horseshoe Bay Property Owners Association for 16 years. They moved to Temple in 2006.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, and a sister Juanita Dillard.

She is survived by her nephew Lynn B. Hillard, Jr. of Houston, Texas a sister-in-law Carolyn Kibodeaux and husband Paul of Onalaska, Texas, a brother-in-law Thomas Owens and wife Margaret of Temple, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
