

Dolores Kathryn Dusek, 78, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009 in Temple at a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 10 at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 5001 Hickory Road, Temple with The Rev. Stan McGraw officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Dolores was born December 1, 1930 in Bartlett to the late Monroe and Louise Albright. She attended school in Bartlett and Temple. She came to faith in Christ at an early age and followed Him faithfully through her life. She graduated from Temple High School and attended Temple Junior College. She married Alvin in November, 1962, 46 years ago. After several moves within the state she returned to Temple in 1980. She retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital after 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church for 28 years. It was a joy for her to serve there amongst beloved friends in several capacities. She was a member of the altar guild and pastoral care teams. She held positions such as buyer, treasurer and president of the St. Francis Gift Shop and often played the organ and piano for church functions. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alvin of Temple, son, David Dusek and wife, Jennifer, daughter, Kathryn Kyle and husband, Shawn all of Austin, grandchildren, Caleb, Nathan, Andrew and Matthew Kyle, Sadie, Carlie and Brody Dusek and many dear friends. Pallbearers are Brad Dusek, Edwin Bailey, Frank Pulkrabek, Clifford Hughes, Frankie Jarolik, Raymond Zajicek, Jr. and Jimmy Zajicek. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church.
