Donald Winston McCurdy

Donald W. McCurdy, 69, of Rogers died Monday in a Temple Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mr. McCurdy was born February 14, 1944 in Jay, Florida to Kermit McCurdy and Verda Mae Grimes McCurdy. He served in the Marines during Vietnam. He married Patsy Munz November 12, 1966. He moved to Rogers from Moody in 1976. He was a member of Rogers Volunteer Fire Department, East Bell Youth Boosters and First United Methodist Church of Rogers. He worked for Slough Construction Company, Flanagan Construction Company and Smetana Construction Company. Mr. McCurdy was preceded in death by one brother Ruben McCurdy. Survivors include his wife Patsy McCurdy of Rogers, three daughters Margie Hood of Krum, Milissa Carlson of Little River and Wendy McCurdy of Rogers; three sisters Glenda Dubose and Ola Mae Reeder of Florida and Maxine Wade of Alabama; two brothers Vernon McCurdy and Ricky McCurdy of Florida and one grandchild Maddison Dawn McCurdy-Erwin of Rogers. Memorials may be made to East Bell Youth Boosters or to First United Methodist Church of Rogers. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
