Dorene Joyce Krenek

Dorene Joyce Krenek, age 86, of Temple, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at her daughters residence in Grapevine, Texas. She was born on October 18, 1937 in Milam County, Texas the daughter of Jesse and Mattie (Williams) Weber.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504.

Funeral service will be private.

Dorene retired after many years having worked for Scott and White Hospital as a medical coder, the VA Hospital in their medical records department and for The Texas Rehabilitation Commission at the VA Hospital. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Temple where she also was a member of their Keenagers group.

Dorene is survived by her children, Vickie Gideon and husband Rex of Temple, Texas, Debbie Lytle and husband Glen of Grapevine, Texas and Michael Krenek and wife Tanna of Temple, 7 grandchildren, Brent Matl of Richmond, Texas, Michelle Sims of Temple, Texas, Aaron Lytle of Dallas, Texas, Sean Lytle and wife Alex of Georgetown, Texas, Emily Reynolds and husband Chase of Fort Worth, Texas, Kaylee Shackelford and husband Zach of Schertz, Texas, and Mattie Krenek and fiancée Hunter Garrett of Euless, Texas, and 5 great-grandchildren, Cole Sims, Presley Moore, Claire Lytle, Jack Lytle, and Owen Shackelford. She is also survived by her sister Glenda Ruzicka and husband Jack of Temple, Texas.

Dorene was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Mattie Weber, and her brothers, David Weber, Bobby Weber, and Larry Weber.
