Dorothy Marie McNamara Dorothy McNamara, 87 of Temple died Thursday January 29, 2009 in a Temple nursing center. Graveside services for Mrs. McNamara will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday February 3, 2009 at Salado Cemetery with Father Dick Hudson and Dr. Jerry Bawcom officiating. Mrs. McNamara was born September 6, 1921 in Passaic, New Jersey the daughter of James and Lillian Quinn Delaney. She married Arch McNamara January 27, 1962 in Laredo, Texas he preceded her in death in March 2000. Dorothy was active socially being a member of the City Federation of Women's Clubs in Temple. She was a member of the Bluebonnet Club the Daughters of the American Republic and the Daughters of the Confederacy. She also was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton, Texas. Mrs. McNamara is survived by a cousin Doris Hughes of Spring Branch. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Central Texas Area Museum of Salado I North Main Street Salado, Texas 76571 Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
