

Eileen Tabor, age 86 of Temple, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in a local nursing center. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 5, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Minister Scott Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Tabor was born July 21, 1926 in Sweetwater to J. H. and Mamie Cochram Davis. She was reared and educated in west Texas and graduated from Beulah High School. She married James T. Tabor on October 2, 1947 in Midland. They have been residents of Temple for the past 13 years. She was a member of Western Hills Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers, Vernon, Roy, Doyle, Eugene, J. V., Orville, Kenneth and Lloyd Davis. Survivors include her husband, James T. Tabor of Temple, one daughter, Linda Couch and husband, Al of Kempner, one son, Johnny Tabor and wife, Devonna of Fort Worth, three grandchildren, Holly Landez and husband, John of Killeen, Phillip James Tabor and wife, Sara of The Colony, Valerie Begovic and husband, Mirza of Plano and five great-grandchildren, Trenton, Rihanna, Caitlyn, Julianna and Allison. Also surviving is her sister, Norma Sweeten and husband, Robbie of Camp Wood. Memorial donations may be made to Arms of Hope - Medina Campus, 21300 SH 16, Medina, TX 78055 or charity of choice.
