Eleanor Allison

Eleanor K. Allison, age 90 of Temple, died Thursday November 25, 2010 in a local hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, November 29, 2010 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Rudy Rudwick and Rev. Kissa Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at the Moody Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4-6:00 PM Sunday November 28, 2010 at the funeral home. Mrs. Allison was born on May 16, 1920 in Willow Grove, Texas to the late Finis S. and Dora Hagler Garman. She attended elementary school in Willow Grove and graduated from Moody High School. Mrs. Allison was a member of the Troy United Methodist Church and a founding member of the Troy quilters group of the church. She married Thelbert E. Allison on October 25, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Allison was also preceded in death by a son, Thelbert Vernon Allison and a grandson, Lawrence Ryter. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ryter and husband Larry of Moffat and Linda Beller and husband Jamie of Waxahachie; a son, Gary L. Allison and wife Donna of Hockley, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Allison of Huntsville; four granddaughters, Angela Brown , Lori B. McQuillen, Shelley McKeever, and Jennifer Welsch; five grandsons, Keith Allison, Gregory Beller, Brian Allison, Kyle Beller, and Ryan Allison; and 20 great grandchildren.
