Elizabeth Haire Brickhouse

Elizabeth Haire Brickhouse, age 96, a native of Columbia, NC, passed away on June 30, 2012 in the Temple Living Center-East in Temple, Texas where she resided for the past 9 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Sound Side Free Will Baptist Church in Columbia, NC with Rev. Royce Reynolds officiating, with visitation at the church prior to the service at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Mrs. Brickhouse was born on October 12, 1915 in the Creswell, NC community to Cornelius J. and Sarah Furlough Haire. She was a homemaker, choir member, Sunday School teacher, church auxiliary member and help-mate to her husband Richard Brickhouse, of Columbia, NC, who passed away in November 2002. She was a member of the Sound Side Free Will Baptist Church in Columbia, NC and she loved the Lord, her family and will be much missed. She is survived by her family, R. Larry Brickhouse of Topeka, KS; Aubrey L. and Patricia Brickhouse of Temple; L. Stanley and Diana Brickhouse of Chillicothe, MO and Sandra and Guy Tippett of Broadway, VA. She is also survived by one sister, Naomi Haire Ambrose, and one brother, C.J. Haire, both of Creswell, NC. She has seven surviving grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
