Mrs. Evelyn Marie Warwick

Evelyn was born March 5, 1929, in Cleburne, TX to Marshall and Eva Miller Gregory. She married the love of her life, the late Grady Warwick in 1946, and they lived together in Lubbock, Texas until his death. Evelyn worked in the insurance industry until she retired in 2008. She then relocated to Temple, TX in 2010 where she was an active member of her church and community. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of her church. She was a prayer warrior who many called on for comfort and support. She led the group exercise program at the Country Lane Apartments until the few weeks prior to her passing.

Evelyn is survived by four children; Linda Loggins, of Temple, Edward (Mickey) Warwick of Temple; Brenda (Michael) Jennings of Fair Grove, Missouri and Terry (Leesa) Warwick, of Lubbock. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren and her sister, Homerene Schnittger, of Fort Worth. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband and her brother Jack Gregory.

The viewing will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 4-6 pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Rd, Temple, Texas 76504. The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11 am at Temple First Nazarene Church, 5000 31st St, Temple, Texas 76502. The graveside service will take place on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11 am at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 19th St, Lubbock, Texas 79407.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Evelyn’s favorite charity, St Jude’s Children Hospital.
