Felipe Jimenez

 Felipe Jimenez, age 67 of Temple, died Monday, February 6, 2017 in a local hospital.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, February 10th at St. Mary Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Caldwell.  Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.   Mr. Jimenez was born March 30, 1949 in Caldwell to John A. Jimenez and Janie Mendez Jimenez.  He had been a resident of Temple for about 50 years.  He was a Catholic and a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Vietnam War.  He worked as a carpenter for many years.   He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joseph Jimenez and one sister, Guadalupe Castor.  Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Jimenez of Killeen and one son, Gabriel Jimenez and wife, Lisa of Jarrell, four grandchildren, Allysan, Ashlee, William and Felipe.  He is also survived by four sisters, Carmen Gutierrez and husband, Louis of Round Rock, Lucy Palomino and husband, Johnny of Temple, Isabel Guillen and husband, Steve of Temple and Martha Ashley and husband, Wayne of Troy and three brothers, Ralph Jimenez and wife, Connie of Temple, Julian Jimenez of Rosebud and Robert Jimenez of Temple.
