

Flora Elizabeth Daude was born July 15, 1929 to Alfredo Celso Mller and Damaris Jaccard Mller in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Daude graduated from High School in El Paso, TX and graduated from Mary Hardin Baylor College in 1950. Mrs. Daude taught at Tyler and Central Elementary in the Belton Independent School District for thirty-one years. She enjoyed teaching and inspired students to become teachers. In college, "Flu" was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and of the Royal Academia Society. She served on the Belton Credit Union Board. She was a member of the Bell County Marie Jackson Foundation Reading Improvement Board & the Bell County Retired Teachers Association. She was also awarded the Golden Apple Award from the Temple Daily Telegram in February, 1991. Flora enjoyed spending quality time with her TNT (This-n-that) Wednesday Group which consisted of previous college classmates who frequently gathered for conversation, lunch, & crafting. She was an avid crafter tatting, knitting, crocheting, and beading. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo and Bingo at the Sterling House Assisted Living Center over the past seven plus years. She lived on S. 31st Street Road for 51 years watching and writing about the area developing from a two lane road to what it is today. Flora married H. J Daude on December 31, 1950 in Clifton, TX. The couple was married by Mrs. Daude's father, the Reverend A.C. Mller. Mrs. Daude was preceded in death by her husband in 2007 and her six brothers, Benjaman, Samuel, Pierre, Daniel, David and Harold Mller. A life-long Baptist, she taught Sunday School at Heights Baptist Church where she remained an active member. Mrs. Daude is survived by one son, John B. Daude and his wife Melanie of Austin, one sister, Ellen Damaris Brooks and husband Don of El Paso and many loving nieces and nephews.
