

Francisco Flores, age 84 of Temple, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 in a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 15 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Sauser as celebrant. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Flores was born August 21, 1930 in Bryan to Ramon and Paula Flores. He was raised in Mexico City. He has been a resident of Temple for over 50 years. He received an associate's degree in art from Temple College. He was retired from Artco-Bell. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He played soccer at a young age and loved to dance and loved music. He was an artist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Celia Robles Flores on January 7, 1984, son, Ramon Flores, grandson, Mario Flores and son-in-law, Michael Engbrock. Survivors include two sons, Juan Francisco Flores and wife, Rubentina of Temple and Roberto Flores and wife, Maria Socorro of Katy, four daughters, Rosa Maria Ocanas and husband, Jimmy of Belton, Celia Flores Robles and Maria De La Luz Engbrock both of Temple and Oliva Lerma and husband, Robert of Pflugerville, 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Luke Engbrock, Jimmy Ocanas, Ramon Flores, Robert Flores, Francisco Flores, Alex Flores, Martine Garcia and Robert Flores. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
