Graveside memorial services for George Aaron Young, 88, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio with full Military honors. Mr. Young died Tuesday in a Temple hospital. Mr. Young was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He received a degree from Centenary College in Shreveport, La. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, the Korean Conflict and in the Philippines. He retired as a Major. He then became a Special Agent for the IRS and afterwards converted the IRS south region to computers. He married Lula Beatrice Taylor. He moved to Temple six years ago from San Antonio and was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife Lula Beatrice Young of Temple; one son Kenneth Young of Garland and one daughter Karen Young of Temple; two grandchildren Cheryl LaBombard of Sachse and Cyndi Judd of San Antonio and one great grandchild Sara Young of Sachse. Scanio Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
