Gladys Pauline Rose Christian

Gladys Pauline Rose Christian, age 80 of Pittsburg, Texas formerly of Temple died Friday, May 22, 2015 at her residence. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 28, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with minister Loyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Temple Garden of Memories. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Christian was born November 29, 1934 in Bell County to Gurstle Paul Rose and Mattie Purmelia Bulls Rose. She graduated from Troy High School in 1952 and Temple Jr. College in 1954. She married Frank H. Christian III on August 15, 1959 in Temple. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1995. She worked as a Radiology Desk Supervisor at Scott & White Hospital for 40 years retiring in 1995. She had been a member of Avenue T and Northside Churches of Christ. She was a member of Scott & White Pioneers and was on the Board of Directors of Temple High School Quarterback Club. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, Margret Rose and one brother, Gerald Rose. Survivors include her daughter, Paula Diane Rollins and husband, Douglas Alan Rollins of Pittsburg and two brothers, David Rose and wife, Margaret and Garlin Rose and wife, Fay all of Temple. Pallbearers are Stephen Rose, Robert Oney, Don Oney, Chris Rose, Gus (Andy) Craft, Gerald Rose, David Cyphers and Bruce Christian. Memorial donations may be made to Heart'sway Hospice, 300 N.
