
Henry "Hank" Costilow, 93, of Belton died Saturday, June 23, 2007 in a local nursing facility. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice, Texas with Rev. Larry McRorey officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Mr. Costilow was born January 6, 1914 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Elijah and Jennie Lila Durant Costilow. He attended schools in Broken Bow, Tishamingo Jr. College, and graduated in 1938 from Oklahoma A&M with a degree in agronomy. He was a member of Oklahoma Tribe of the Choctaw Nation. He married Rexalee McNeil in Buffalo, Oklahoma on June 1, 1941. He worked for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service from 1939 to 1951. In 1951 he opened Alice Feeders Supply, Inc. which he operated until 1976. He was a resident of Alice from 1941 to 1985, where he was a member of the Alice First United Methodist Church, the Alice Rotary Club, and was a Boy Scout Master. He moved to Salado in 1985 and was a member of the Salado First United Methodist Church and then moving to Belton about ten years ago. Survivors include his wife, Rexalee Costilow of Belton; son, Jan Costilow and wife Ann of Spicewood, Texas; two daughters, Karen Jones and husband Jeff of San Antonio and Dana Crisp and husband Darrell of Belton; seven grandchildren, Kerry Martinez of Poteet, Chris Whitley of Houston, Jennie Costilow of Austin, Sarah Costilow of Austin, Matthew Crisp of Belton, Kelly Savedra of Austin, and Andrew Crisp of Austin; five great-grandchildren, Amy Zamora of Poteet, Claire Whitley of Houston, Owen Crisp of Belton, Brendan Henry Savedra of Austin, and Finn Grimley of Austin. Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 2626 S. 37th Street, Temple, Texas 76504 or to one's favorite charity.
