Jackie Beck

Graveside services for Jackie Beck, 75, of Little River-Academy will be held at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at Greathouse Cemetery. Mrs. Beck died Friday in a Temple hospital. Mrs. Beck was born in Ada, Oklahoma to George Burnett and Harriett Immotichey Burnett. She married Otis Beck June 24, 1967. She moved to Little Rivers-Academy thirty seven years ago from Temple. She was a member of SPJST #177 and Bell County Sportsman Club, where she was the editor of the newsletter. She loved gardening and was a devoted wife and loving mother. Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by one son Keith Barnes, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband Otis Beck of Little River-Academy, four sons George Barnes of New Mexico, R.B. Barnes of Temple, Gary Barnes of Lewisville and Kevin Beck of Little River-Academy, two stepsons Rick Beck of Moffat and Terrell Beck of Morgans Point; two step daughters Deborah Blevins and Shelly Fowler of Morgans Point; nine grandchildren, twelve step grandchildren, five great granddaughters and one great grandson and one step great granddaughter. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
