
James Edward Cleveland (N5ONI), age 64, of Troy, Texas passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at a local hospital. He was born on March 23, 1954 in Panama City, Panama the son of William Grover and Olivia Aguilar de Cleveland.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Troy, Texas, 20 Church Ave. Troy, Texas 76579.
James was a former employee of Texas Instruments and most recently retired from IER in Belton, Texas. He was an amateur HAM operator and member of TARC (Temple Amateur Radio Club) as well as a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy. James was well known as someone who could fix anything and was affectionately referred to as “Mr. Fix-It” by family and friends.
James is survived by his wife Carla of Troy, children Danny Cleveland and wife Sarah of Austin, Emily Cleveland of Austin, Lydia Cleveland of Seattle and grandchildren Felix and Eliza Cleveland of Austin. He is also survived by brothers George Cleveland and wife Nancy of Rosebud and John Cleveland of Dallas, sister Noemy Alvarez and husband Jose of Spain, and many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bill Cleveland.
