

Funeral services for James E. (Jack) Sanderson, 88, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Rogers with Rev. Billy Ray Crow and Rev. Larry O'Neal officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Forest Park Cemetery East in Webster. Mr. Sanderson died Tuesday at his home. Mr. Sanderson was born December 20, 1920 in Carey to Arthur Sanderson and Alma Dudley Sanderson. He married Thelma Ralston Aug. 30, 1941. She preceded him in death January 29, 2003. He married Darleen Morgan Feb. 9, 2005. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II where he was a member of 357th Troop Airborne Carriers. He lived in the Houston area for many years and moved to the Rogers, Temple area in 1999. He operated Bayport Precision Welding in Houston and was a member of Pipefitters Local #211 in Houston. He was also a member of American Legion Post 133 in Temple. Mr. Sanderson was preceded in death by one son A.C. Sanderson in 1960 and one grandson Chad Davis. Survivors include his wife Darleen Sanderson of Temple; one son David Sanderson of Rogers; two daughters Jacque Schmitz of Wichita Falls and Cathy Harrison of Crosby; one brother Roy Sanderson of Texas City; one stepson Randall Janke of Bartlett; one stepdaughter Darla Janke of Troy; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and six step grandchildren. Memorials may be made to County Line Baptist Church of Rogers or to Peaceable Kingdom, P. O. Box 844, Temple, TX 76503. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
