Jimmie Russell Barth

He was born on June 19, 1945, in Brady, Texas, to Russell Barth and Blake Louise Hemphill Barth. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Jimmie served his country with distinction before pursuing higher education. He earned bachelor’s degrees in both respiratory therapy and nursing and later obtained a master’s degree in hospital administration.

Jimmie dedicated his career to healthcare, with his final years spent at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, where he was respected for his professionalism and commitment to patient care.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Blake Louise Barth, and his sister, Stephanie Barth Nash.

Survivors include his sister Sally Russell and her husband Jack; his brother-in-law Edward Lee Nash; his daughter, Nissa Lee Perfetti; and his pseudo brother, Bruce Davis.

A memorial service to celebrate Jimmie’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Barth’s name to Alcoholics Anonymous, Medina Children’s Home, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
