John B. Fox, Jr.

John B. Fox, Jr., age 64, of Temple died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in a local nursing center. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 11 at Trinity Church of Temple, 7101 W. Adams Ave. with Rev. Mike Pillmore and Rev. Joel Kelly officiating. Private family burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at 2105 S. 11th Street in Temple. Mr. Fox was born on October 9, 1945 in Temple to John B. and Pauline (Penn) Fox. He graduated from Temple High School in 1963 and attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Dana Kelly on September 5, 1975. He was the former pastor of Family of God Fellowship for many years. He was a member of VFW Post #1820 and was a former District Chaplain for VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Phyllis Scottino and Nelta Cabaniss. Survivors include his wife, Dana Fox of Temple, three sons, John B. Fox III and wife, Leanne of Killeen, Andrew Fox of Austin, Jonathan Fox of Temple, two daughters, Mandy Nettleton and Sarah Fox both of Temple and five granddaughters, Katherine, Jayme, Jazmine, Hannah and Kalyn.
