John Newport Greene, V, 57, of Troy died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at his home. A private family graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2010 in College Station. He was born on August 17, 1953, to John and Ellie Greene in San Antonio. In July 1975, he married Julie Freeman Greene in Davilla. He retired from Wilsonart International. He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his wife; five children, Toni Greene, Christina Porter, Juliann Hall, Johnna DeSouza and John Greene, VI; one brother, Bruce Greene; two sisters, Frankie Lambright and Ellie Rust; his father; 4 grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
