
Funeral services for John Dewayne "Roho" Pavey, Sr., 75 of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday April 20, 2007 at Scanio Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Struckmeyer and Rev. Brian Bibler officiating. Burial will be in Moffat Cemetery. Mr. Pavey died Tuesday at his residence. Mr. Pavey was born in Florence to John Mathis Pavey and Florence Annie Dixon Pavey. He attended school in Killeen. He married Alice Corinne Hardcastle April 15, 1958 in Ft. Worth. He had lived in Killeen, Llano, Ft. Worth and Pecos before moving to Temple in 1963. He was a truck driver for Wilson Art International for twenty three years, having retired January, 1989. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Mr. Pavey was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Landrum Pavey. Survivors include his wife Corinne Pavey of Temple; one son John Dewayne Pavey Jr. and wife Emma of Dale; one daughter Laura Ann Flowers and husband Gary of Bridge City; two grandsons Gary Michael Derby and wife Denise of Nacogdoches and Joe David Lee Shuffield and wife Corina of Phoenix, Arizona; four granddaughters Joanna Denice Peek and husband Jon of Houston and Kimberly Kay Pavey of Houston, Heather Sammond and husband Nathan of Colorado and Rhonda Reid of Temple; four great grandsons Austin Dewayne Derby of Nacogdoches and Nathaniel Peek of Houston Joseph Shuffield and Hayden Shuffield of Poenix, Arizona; three great granddaughters Kristina Marie Pavey of Houston, Camalee Peek of Houston and Suvhanna Shuffield of Phoenix, Arizona. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church 2109 W Ave H Temple, Texas 76504 or to charity of choice. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
