Johnny Alison Grant, age 55, of Temple died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at his residence. Services and burial will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio with military honors. Mr. Grant was born on April 16, 1955 in Frankfurt, Germany to Darrell Wayne and Dorothy Sybil (Hammonds) Grant. He graduated from Canyon High School in New Braunfels. He was a longtime resident of New Braunfels and Austin. He worked as a superintendant for Motorola Corporation. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, Derek Wayne Grant of Arp and Johnny Lee Grant of Denver, Colorado; two brothers, Joe Wayne Grant of Knoxville, Tennessee, Roy Kelly Grant of Conroe; three sisters, Glenda Faye Proctor of Cortland, New York, Carolyn Kay Booker of San Antonio and Ava Marie Chandler of Baltimore, Maryland and two grandchildren.
