
MR. J.T. "JAKE" MOSELEY Mr. J.T. "Jake" Moseley, 83 of Temple died Monday February 12, 2007 in a Temple Care Center. Services for Mr. Mosley will be at 1:00 PM Thursday February 15, 2007 at Eubanks Funeral Home Chapel in Mabank, Texas with Ken Maddox officiating. Burial will follow at Payne Springs Cemetery. Mr. Moseley was born in Eustace, Texas the son of Troy H. and Johnnie Williams Moseley. He was a 1942-1946 veteran of the Navy Seabees. He graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A & M University in 1950. He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Moseley. Mr. Moseley worked and lived in Monahans, Texas from 1950 until 2004 when he moved to Temple. He was a generous supporter of McMurry University in Abilene and served on the board of directors from 1992 until 1998. In 2000 he was the first recipient of the Cross and Flame Award at McMurry. He was an active member and supporter of the United Methodist Church. Mr. Moseley is survived by his daughter Jan Phillips and her husband Rick of Temple, two grandchildren Emily and Chris Phillips of Temple, Texas. He is also survived by three brothers Fred Moseley of Gun Barrel, Texas, Billy Moseley of Eustace, Texas, Jack Moseley of Houston, Texas and four sisters Mildred Dyer of Eustace, Texas, Helen Faslun of Houston, Texas, Bobbie Thomas of Mabank, Texas and Faye Taylor of Mabank, Texas A family visitation will be held from 5 until 7 PM Wednesday February 14, 2007 at the Eubanks Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Central Texas Christian School 4141 West FM 93 Temple, Texas 76502. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
