Kenneth A. Albrecht, age 74, of Temple, Texas passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at his home in Temple. He was born on December 13, 1946 in Alton, Illinois, the son of Albert and Marie (Hawkins) Albrecht.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504. Masks are required for all those in attendance.

Ken was a 1964 graduate of EHS in Edwardsville, IL and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois in 1968. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972, and went on to join the corporate world as an executive for several different companies. His career took him to Kentucky, Alaska, Georgia, Tennessee, Kansas, and eventually Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Belton. Ken was fortunate enough to be able to retire at age 58 and enjoyed using his time to entertain family and friends. He loved to cook for everybody and wouldn’t have it any other way.

He is survived by his wife Judy of Temple, a sister Alice Maedge and husband Bill of Belton, Missouri, sisters-in law Joan Baker of Jefferson City, Missouri and Renee Allen and husband Steve of Temple, Texas, nieces and nephews, Marsha Vest of Belton, Missouri, Jill Findley and husband Eric of Linn Creek, Missouri, Kris Ellsworth and husband John Dickshot of Glen Carbon, Illinois, Kurt Ellsworth and wife Janel of Edwardsville, Illinois, Chelsea Pershall and husband JR of Robinson, Texas, Tad Allen and wife Kaci of Temple, Texas, and Samantha Allen-Bigott and husband Chris of Belton, Texas, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by a son Carter Albrecht, his parents Albert and Marie Albrecht, brothers-in-law Steve Ellsworth and Gary Baker, sister-in-law Rae Ellsworth, nephew Scott Baker, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Ralph and Twila Ellsworth.

Judy, you and Ken have always been a great memory of our time in Memphis all those years ago.

Judy it is a honor, joy and a huge blessing for me to call Ken and you my friends. I enjoyed every Sunday listening to what Ken had to share to the lesson, he was a wonderful man and very intelligent man. He will be missed.
The video is so sweet and the music was wonderful.
