Funeral services for Kristopher Allan Higdon, 25, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday June 2, 2007 at Scanio Harper Funeral Home with Pastor Donovan Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Higdon was killed in action Tuesday May 22, 2007 in Iraq. Mr. Higdon was born in Odessa. He graduated from Permian High School in Odessa. He joined the Army when he was seventeen and was sent to Iraq April 8, 2007. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne. He married MaKayne Willis April 18, 2002, and was a member of the Church of Christ in Odessa. Survivors include his wife MaKayne Higdon of Temple; one son Hunter Bartek of Temple; one daughter Kacie Higdon of Temple his parents Danny and Ronda Higdon of Odessa; three brothers Brit Higdon. Kaleb Higdon and Blake Higdon all of Odessa; his grandparents Gerald and Patsy Higdon of Odessa and Mary Bankhead of Odessa; great grandparents Patsy Jones of Odessa and Naoma Bankhead of Odessa. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
