Lanny White

Mr. Lanny White, 70, of Temple died Monday August 28, 2006 in a Temple Hospital. A private family service was held Tuesday August 29, 2006 at Hillcrest Cemetery with a memorial service to be held at 7:00 PM Thursday August 31, 2006 at Temple Bible Church in Temple with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Mr. White was born in Elmer, Ok. June 3, 1936 the son of Homer W. and Winnie Banks White. He married the former Judy Burket October 27, 1956 in Alva, OK.. From 1969 until his retirement in 2005 Mr. White owned and operated Mid-Tex Artificial Limb Co. in Temple. He loved baseball and played on an American Legion Baseball team that won two state championships. He had served as President and vice president of T.A.O.P. He was a member of the American Academy of Orthopedics and Prosthetics. He had worked in scouting as a Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster for troop #199. He was an active member of the Temple Bible Church. Mr. White is survived by his wife Judy White of Temple one son Les White of North Richland Hills, Texas and three grandchildren Ethan White of Temple Charlotte White of Temple and Laura White of Temple. He was preceded in death by one son Lanny White Jr. in 1993.
