Lawrence "Larry" Wolf

Lawrence “Larry” Wolf, age 72 of Morgan’s Point Resort, died Monday, September 5, 2016 at a Temple hospital. Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Private family burial will be at Bellwood Memorial Park. Mr. Wolf was born on April 8, 1944 in Dodge City, Kansas to the late Frank Wolf and Suzanna Wright Wolf. He attended schools in Windhorst, Kansas and graduated from Windhorst High School. He also received his associates degree from Long Beach College. Larry married Deanna Hamb on June 22, 1974 in Long Beach, California. He worked at Delta Centrifugal in Temple for 8 years, then was a maintenance electrician at Centrifugal Castings in Temple, retiring after over 25 years of service in 2006. Larry loved life and was a workaholic. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Robert Wolf. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Deanna Wolf of Morgan’s Point Resort; a daughter, LaDea Wolf of Belton; a son, Brian Wolf and wife Allison of Round Rock, Texas; five sisters, Jan Putzier and husband Val of Paola, Kansas, Connie Ryan of Manhattan, Kansas, Joan Wolf of Great Bend, Kansas, Liana Tasset and husband Leonard of DeSoto, Texas and Cathy Morgan of Canton, Kansas; one brother, Don Wolf and wife Patty of Great Bend, Kansas; and one grandson, Greyson Wolf of Round Rock, Texas. Memorials may be given in Mr. Wolf’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
