

Graveside services for Lee Calvert, 90, of Moody will be held Monday Aug. 27, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Gerald James and Rev. Chet Smith officiating. Mr. Calvert died Friday at his residence. Mr. Calvert was born November 17, 1921 in Winifred, West Virginia to Clarence Calvert and Goldie M. Stone Calvert. He married Nora Catherine Hamilton August 29, 1946. She preceded him in death January 15, 2012. He served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He lived in Tiffin, Ohio, Ft. Pierce Florida, Ocala Florida, Abilene and Temple before moving to Moody in 1989. He was a machine operator at Mobil Chemical for ten years before retiring. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Temple. Survivors include four daughters Nora Calvert Munger of Temple, Greta Calvert of Moody, Vicki Calvert Ratliff of Abilene and Sherri Calvert Vann of Moody; one son Terry Calvert of Alma, Arkansas, twelve grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.
