

LeRoy Wall, 84, of Temple, formerly of Moody passed away Monday, October 18, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:30 Thursday morning at First Baptist Church of Moody with Bro. Tom Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at the Moody cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Moody. LeRoy was born at Owl Creek in Bell Ct. on March 3, 1926 to Jesse Curtis Wall and Willie Gertrude Dixon. He married Ila Faye Podany in 1954 and moved to Moody where he was in the feed, grain and cattle business. LeRoy served his community in many ways including participating in civic, school and church organizations. Among these includes serving on the city council, serving as mayor of Moody, as president of the Moody ISD school board, Lions Club, the athletic booster club and the Chamber of Commerce. He was a charter member of the Moody Young Farmers and of the Moody Lions Club. LeRoy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moody where he was very active. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Ila Faye, brothers, Jess and Buel Wall, an infant sister and a brother, Willard. Survivors include his wife ,the former Joyce Matous of Temple, a brother Leamon Wall of Temple and a sister Joy Clawson of The Grove, several nieces and nephews, his children Linda Ewing and husband Roy of Moody, Becky Ledbetter and husband Russell of Scurry, Diane Humphreys and husband Lee of Palestine, Kathy Bullington and husband Kenneth of Gatesville, Ronda West and husband Joe of Lorena, Royce Wall and wife, Debbie of Moody. Step-children include Cathy Stewart and husband Randy of Bryan, Mike Matous and wife Mary of Fort Worth, and Bruce Matous and wife Renee of Temple. His grandchildren are Cindy Franks, Nikki Ledbetter, Shanna Denson and husband Brandon, Laura West, Ty Ewing, Tony and Christa Humphreys, Christopher and Caleb Bullington and 7 great-grandchildren. Step-grandchildren include Todd Stewart and wife, Paula, Tyson Stewart and wife Jana, Jordan Matous , Madison, Morgan, and Matthew Matous and three step-great grandchildren.
