

Lorna Marilyn Willding, age 88, of Temple died Monday, December 6, 2010 in a local hospital. Services and burial will be held in California at a later date. Mrs. Willding was born on September 20, 1922 in Edmondton, Alberta, Canada to Walter O. and Mary (Davies) Trettin. She was reared and educated in Madison, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin. She married Robert Willding on September 19, 1942. They lived in California for many years where her husband was in the entertainment industry. She was head of the volunteer office at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles for over 10 years. Mr. Willding preceded her in death on June 4, 2002. She had been a resident of The Temple Meridian for the past five years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Raymond Trettin and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Willding. Survivors include two sons, Dr. R. Stephen Willding and wife, Linda of Lindenhurst, Illinois, David Allen Willding of Hailey, Idaho and one daughter, Linda Ann Prewitt and husband, Buck of College Station; two grandchildren, Stephanie Willding of Chicago, Illinois, Courtney Willding of Lake Villa, Illinois and one great-granddaughter, Madison Willding of Lake Villa, Illinois; three step grandchildren, Ansel Prewitt of Austin, Casey McJunkin and husband, Casey of Bryant, Arkansas, Penny Jones and husband, Jeff of Athens and four step great grandchildren, Justin and Joshua Jones and Carmen and Candyce McJunkin.
