Lucille LaVerne Owen, 91, of Temple died Friday in a Temple Living Center. No services are planned. Mrs. Owen was born September 4, 1918 in Humble to Edwin Guthrie Brigham and Mennie Bell Fields Brigham. She married John William Owen Dec. 22, 1934. He preceded her in death May 22, 1969. She worked as A Tax Assessor for Walker County. She moved to Temple three years ago from Austin and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters Patricia Seleen Bailon of Belton, Dorothy Jeannette Booth of Thorndale and Rhonda Elaine Gibbens of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one son Michael Gregory Owen of Martindale; one sister Dorothy Doumerat of Baytown, thirteen grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
