Luke Evert Wical Luke Wical, 10, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. Luke was born on May 12, 2005, in Waco, Texas. At 9 months of age, he developed leukemia and remained in remission for 9 years. We were blessed to have received this precious gift of time. This year Luke had a relapse episode of leukemia along with multiple organ failure. In his short life, he touched countless others with love and friendship while spreading his love for Christ. He passed without fear, knowing what was to come, simply stating that he was "not afraid". He never shed a tear. Luke is survived by his father and mother, Jason and Kimberly Wical of Temple, sister, Makayla, paternal grandparents, David and Gail Wical of Troy, maternal grandfather, William Randazzo and wife Silvia of Harker Heights, maternal grandmother, Debra Thompson and husband Randy of Schertz/Troy, and numerous relatives from all over the country. Out of respect for children attending, closed casket services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church (1401 W. Central Ave. Temple, TX) on Saturday October 10, 2015 at 10 a.m., and visitation will be at Scanio Harper Funeral Home (3110 Airport Rd. Temple, TX) on October 8th, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
