Madeline Jenell Thompson

Services for Madeline Jenell Thompson, 70, of Temple will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday June 14 at Seaton Brethren Church in Seaton with Rev. Joe Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Seaton Cemetery immediately following the services. Mrs. Thompson died Wednesday, June 11 at her residence. She was born February 16, 1944, in Temple, TX to Henry and Carmen Marek Skrabanek. She attended Seaton School and graduated from Rogers High School and the Waco Business College. She married Robert H. Thompson III on April 6, 1963 in Temple. Ms. Thompson lived in numerous US and European locations, including Germany, during her husband's army career. Upon their return to Temple, she worked for the Temple School District, S&W Health Care System and Ancira. She was a member of the Seaton Brethren Church and the Christian Sisters organization. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Elmer Skrabanek and Alvin Skrabanek. Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Thompson III; two brothers, Eldon Skrabanek, wife Catherine and Calvin Skrabanek, wife Dolores; two sisters, Lanette Wigginton, husband Charles and Louann Hight, husband Richard; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seaton Brethren Church Christian Sisters Fund, 12561 S. Hwy 53, Temple, TX 76501. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
